It’s that time of year again… Where couples show each other a little more love by buying into the commercialized “holiday” of Valentine’s Day. It’s a bittersweet holiday. I love it because of how kind and thoughtful everyone is. I also think it is silly (Maybe because I don’t have a valentines… that could be a reason). You can show someone how much you appreciate them any day of the year, yet there’s a designated day to “love” someone.
So if you’re single, this is for you. And if you’re taken, hey, this is for you too.
To the Girl who loves too much,
Still love. Love others. Love your family. Love your friends. Love yourself. You want to be loved. You want to be adored. You want to be wanted, but the things you want are not always what you need.
The world has ingrained in your mind that you have to find someone to hold hands with, to dress up for, to flaunt on social media, or to go on adventures with. Don’t get me wrong. It’s great to have someone who knows you and your wants, needs, and dreams.
Don’t let the world tell you that you need someone to be happy. We become tangled with the messes of love, life, and relationships, that we often forget about the one who loves us.
So this Valentine’s Day, and also EVERYDAY,
Be in love with the One who matters the most because He loves you with an unconditional, everlasting love, a love you cannot experience on this earth.
My dear, it is much better to be patient. Be careful with who you let touch your heart. They can make it flutter rapidly, and they can shatter it to a million pieces.
And that’s okay. Lesson learned. Go through it, grow through it.
Therefore, give your heart to the One who created it in the first place. He wants it more than anyone.
Don’t be someone’s second if they are your first. Don’t put God second when He chose you first. (1 John 4:19)
I hope you are well-loved today and everyday of your life. I hope your love and the love you receive is kind, patient, humble, and self-less, encouraging, faithful, and true. Like the love Jesus has for us.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
